Good Tuesday Morning. Today is a travel day.................
We had our last breakfast in Hong Kong at the Royal Pacific and caught the hotel shuttle at 10:30 for the Hong Kong International Airport. It was about an hour ride. We traveled north of Hong Kong Island, through the Kowloon area. There were a lot of mountains and coast line to see. When we arrived at the airpot we were in search of East China Air. We checked our bags through and went through customs. Since we were leaving the country, this was considered an international flight and we had to get our passports stamped. When we got to our gate, the flight was delayed 1 hour. We finally got off the ground at 3:00 and had a pretty good flight, except for the baby crying, or should I say screaming baby. We landed at approximately 5:15 at Pudong Airport, Shanghai, Mainland China. The airport was huge and fairly new. We grabbed a taxi and 45 minuted later checked into the Howard Johnsons. Yes, you read it right. We checked into the Ho Jo!
If I had to describe the Ho Jo Plaza Shanghai, I would put it right up there with the Westin or Marriott. Very very nice. Six panel doors, marble floors and counters, and fluffy beds. Very nice. We had a quick bite to eat, Korean BQ ribs and broccoli. Both very tasty and then hit the sack. The travel day took its toll on us, we were beat.
