Sunday, May 12, 2014 - Stockholm and Mother's Day
It rained again today. I think it has rained every day since we arrived...Spring weather!! We put our raincoats and walk walk walk!! Today the boys went to the Norvik Museum and I shopped. I really enjoyed all of the shops. The cost of living in Scandinavia is very very high. Stockholm, as was Copenhagen, is very expensive compared to the States. Food is expensive, as is transportation. This morning we went to the grocery store and made salmon, ham or salami on Finn Crisp crackers (my Dad's favorite) with brie cheese or butter, tomato slices and pickles. The boys also bought me danish rolls for Mother's Day!! A good cup of coffee and I was set for the day!!
The boys enjoyed the Norvik museum and I enjoyed shipping. We hooked up the tour at the Royal Palace. Very beautiful!! The boys took Nate around on the Hop on Hop off boat tour to check out the rest of Stockholm and I took the Metro home. They still beat me back to the apartment, but I walked about 4 miles today, so my tail was dragging!! Enjoy the pics!! Tomorrow we leave for Oslo!!
Alrighty!! wonderful photos and memories. Enough with the present, what about the past. What have you learned? I am putting this in my favorites. I will check it more often.
