Stockholm to Oslo, Norway

Monday, May 12, 2014  Travel Day  Stockholm to Oslo

Today was sad...we were leaving Stockholm...but first, one last time around the funky neighbor of Sodermalm.  Paul and I got up early and headed for some fikka.  We love this island, Saldermalm,  because it was artsy-fartsy and funky.  Food, people and the arts.  Highly recommend the area, plus super easy to access to the sites in Stockholm.

We stayed in our first airbnb, 169 Asogatan,  and it was okay.  It was a two bedroom flat, see below, and it was convenient, but not the cleanest place I have ever stayed.  As Paul put it, with a little elbow grease, this place would be great!!  But for 4 people, you couldn't beat the price since a hotel in Stockholm averages around $700 a night for a double bed.

We fixed the boys breakfast, funky bread with meat and cheese.  Our taxi driver from the airport picked us up and we were off for the 20 mile trek north to the airport.  The flight was seamless and we arrived in Oslo...raining of course!!

First impressions of Oslo were "eclectic"!  Ufda, lots and lots of emigrants.  We were pretty worn out, so we grabbed dinner, hit the grocery store for some bread and cheese for our trek on the train to Trandheim tomorrow and played a few hands of 500 with the boys.  Lots go good laughs!!

We will explore Oslo when we get back from Norway in a Nutshell tour.
